Grandpa's Wedding

My grandpa's faux-wedding was short and sweet. And they had great cheesecake bites!

4x5 Viewcamera

Went to grandma's house on June 16th and she gave me a 4x5 viewcamera! I went and got film for it from M&Q. The guys there showed me how to use it.

Flourescent Vacancies

Trying to find a good title for a new series I'd like to make of night pictures with flourescent lighting. Strangly without people, movement.

Need to fix my external harddrive. somethings wrong with it. it's making me freaked out a bit.

Money? whatever.

I'm back in Syracuse and still unemployed for the most part. I was originally trying to get a job in the photography field, and then childcare, and now I'm out of ideas. I have an unpaid internship type deal with Andrea Casey. And I'll be taking care of her kids periodically. Andrea Casey's Website . I hope with this, I'll get a wedding portfolio started and get a move on with this photography deal. She's really nice and is going to let me shoot and everything. I got a new lens for my Nikon D80, it's an 18-55 3.5f and i like it.

I've been thinking more about using photography to make money. How to market my pictures. How to advertise..?

So, I posted a 'ad' on craigs list, mainly for weddings over the summer. I've gotten one response so far, for July 5th. I feel like when I'm first starting out, I shouldn't charge much, since I am at their mercy (kind of) for expirence with their wedding.

I've also been shooting solely with the D80 for the past week or so. Went out to the old quarry with evan.. took a few good pictures. Using mainly the new 50mm, 1.8f lens I got.

No down time..

Recently, I haven't had as much down time.

My prints are significantly worse in my opinion... dark and crappy. Not quite sure why i let this new professor dominate me the way i do. This one girl hasn't come to class since the first day because she didn't want to print like he wants her to.. I didn't like her anyway. She was stuck up.

Studio is getting easier, or I'm just getting used to sucking at it. I'm thinking it's the later.
